Why Trauma-Informed Coaching Matters (And Why I’m Now Certified to Offer It)

There are moments in life where traditional advice just doesn’t land. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, tried the tips, and still, something deeper aches beneath it all.
That “something” is often unprocessed pain. Wounds held in the body. Stories carried silently for years.
And unless those parts of us feel safe, seen, and supported, no amount of mindset-shifting will truly create the change we crave.
This is why I chose to become a Certified Trauma-Informed Coach.
What Does “Trauma-Informed” Actually Mean?
It means I honor the whole of you, not just the goals you want to achieve, but the survival strategies you’ve developed, the nervous system patterns you’ve lived through, and the sacred reasons why change might feel hard.
Being trauma-informed doesn’t mean I diagnose or treat trauma (that’s the role of a licensed therapist). It means I recognize how trauma can shape our choices, our relationships, and our ability to trust ourselves.
As a coach, I create a space where your nervous system doesn’t have to armor up. Where your defenses are respected. Where you don’t need to perform or explain away your pain to be supported.
What Makes This Certification Credible?
I received my training through The Center for Healing, a respected leader in trauma-informed and somatic-based education. Their program is grounded in:
Polyvagal theory and nervous system awareness
Attachment styles and relational healing
Shadow work and parts integration
Trauma responses and body-based regulation
Ethical, consent-based, client-led coaching frameworks
I chose this certification because it aligns with the exact kind of care I believe in: deep, attuned, non-coercive, and rooted.
Who Is Trauma-Informed Coaching For?
It’s for the woman who’s doing the work but still feels stuck in loops she can’t name.
For the mother who doesn’t understand why she’s triggered so easily, even though she loves her kids deeply.
For the man who wants to soften but has always had to be strong.
For the cycle-breakers, the sensitives, the deeply feeling humans ready to live from a grounded place, not a guarded one.
My Approach: Coaching With Reverence, Not Performance
In our work together, I won’t push you to “do the thing” just because it looks good on paper.
Instead, I’ll help you meet the parts of you that resist, avoid, freeze, or overfunction, with compassion, not shame.
We’ll work at your pace.
We’ll honor your edges.
And we’ll slowly build safety, not urgency.
If You’re Ready to Be Held Differently…
You don’t need to be “ready” in the traditional sense.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to want something different than the self-abandonment cycle you’ve lived in.
If you feel the pull toward grounded, trauma-informed support, I’d be honored to walk with you.
